Almeria has been the province that has created the most first class sport facilities in the first decade of the XXI Century in Spain. In the build up to the 2005 Mediterranean Games, great facilities were built such as the 2005 Mediterranean Games Stadium and the Mediterranean Games Palace and many other sport complexes and swimming pools: Las Almadrabillas (next to the Sea), Rafael Florido or Los Angeles and an exceptional offer of public artificial turf football fields and the Toyo golf course.
