In love with Almeria

It is not so easy to explain why Almeria is a place in the Mediterranean which no one should miss. Logically, it is much more effective and simple to see, touch, smell, taste, listen, feel and enjoy the City.

But as citizens of Almeria and myself as Mayor, we have the obligation to make everyone feel invited to plunge into this sea of sensations that defines Almeria. We at the Almeria Municipal Tourism Enterprise have decided to launch this Web Site, as well as our own page on the social networks  Facebook and Myspace.

Here and there, visitors will encounter information about our origin and culture, places to visit, things to experience and our traditions and gastronomy. All these elements blend into an amalgam of contrasts, which make Almeria a small universe of cultures and interests for every single tourist.

Almeria is an amalgam of contrasts from Roman to Muslim and modern to contemporary; from Almeria’s sun and beaches to deserts and mountains; monuments and gastronomy to modern and service oriented Almeria as a great place for congresses; from museums and concerts to great sporting events. In conclusion, Almeria is an open, sincere and welcoming city which has opened its doors to the World to find People in love with Almeria, through our Facebook and Myspace pages “Enamorados de Almeria”. We would like those in love with Almeria to spread the word and tell people around the World about the City, regardless of their own origins, so they may make Almeria their future destination.
