From there, you can admire the imposing Iron Ore Loading Dock, an Asset of Cultural Interest on the Almadrabillas Beach, a symbol of Almería’s industrial history. The route continues towards the Puerta de Purchena, the heart of the 19th century city centre, where the Edificio de las Mariposas, a historicist work by the architect Trinidad Cuartara Cassinello, and the vibrant atmosphere of shops and cafés that reflect the evolution of the city after the demolition of its walls, stand out.

The Mercado Central de Abastos, a 19th century jewel with an iron and glass structure, evokes European markets such as Les Halles or La Boquería. Designed during the mining and agricultural boom, its neo-baroque façade on Calle Aguilar de Campoo, designed by Guillermo Langle Rubio, complements its interior full of fresh produce: from fish to the exclusive Raf tomato, the region’s agricultural emblem. Here, visitors can sample local tapas such as ham or truffle omelette, and take away local flavours such as olive oil or Raf tomato jam, encapsulating the gastronomic and heritage essence of Almería in a single space.[/vc_column_text][vc_button button_color=”color-amber” size=”btn-sm” radius=”btn-round” border_width=”2″ button_color_type=”uncode-palette” uncode_shortcode_id=”150900″ link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.turismodealmeria.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2025%2F02%2FRuta-Gastro-Tour-EN.pdf|target:_blank”]Get to know the route[/vc_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row row_height_percent=”0″ override_padding=”yes” h_padding=”0″ top_padding=”2″ bottom_padding=”2″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ column_width_percent=”100″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ uncode_shortcode_id=”170126″][vc_column][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”202659″]The panoramic route starts in the Nicolás Salmerón […]

["post-81905","rutas","type-rutas","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
