Retamar Beach is an urban beach that is adjacent to the residential area of the same name and next to the promenade. It covers an area of about 1,200 metres and its composition is of sand and pebbles.

Within the beach itself there are bars to taste the typical food of local fish and other hospitality venues and businesses within the town. The occupancy of this beach is normally high, especially in the summer months.

Dentro de la propia playa hay chiringuitos para degustar la comida típica de pescado de la zona, así como otros locales de hostelería y comercios dentro del núcleo urbano. El nivel de ocupación de esta playa es normalmente alto, sobre todo en los meses de verano.

The beach has magnificent views of the Cabo de Gata and offers services such as showers and access to people with disabilities.
